Overcoming Your Horses Fears using CAT for Horses
Where Distance Matters
Your Instructor
We are clicker trainers with some 40 years experience. Over the years we have expanded our knowledge thanks to the literature that has been published and the studies undertaken, not only on clicker training and schedules of reinforcement, but of the ever developing topics on neuroscience, ethology and learning theory. We do not take a strict behavioural perspective when it comes to training but rather we do favour the approach offered to us by affective and behavioural neuroscience as it concerns emotions and learning. We do though apply learning theory but prefer the evidence that core emotions exist in the most primal areas of the brain - and to that end our horses are not as unlike us as some may have you believe.
We offer individual clicker training lessons and Constructional Approach Training for Horses lessons, as well as courses through the internet. We also are heavily involved with Constructional Approach Training for Horses and have DVD's on how to use CAT -H.
